The Order of the Forge is a brotherhood. These guidelines exist to protect that brotherhood and ensure this remains a place where men are formed, not merely entertained.

I. Treat Every Man as a Brother

You do not have to agree with every man here. You do have to treat him with the respect owed to a brother in the fire. Attack ideas, not men. If you would not say it to a man’s face across a table, do not say it here.

II. Engage in Good Faith

Disagree with substance, not snark. If you challenge a position, bring a better argument — not a better insult. Sarcasm, mockery, and passive aggression corrode brotherhood faster than open disagreement ever could. Say what you mean. Mean what you say.

III. No Pornography, No Explicit Content

This is non-negotiable. No pornographic images, links, or descriptions. No sexually explicit content of any kind. This is a place of formation, not degradation. Violations result in immediate removal.

IV. No Spam or Self-Promotion Without Contribution

If you are here only to sell something, you are in the wrong place. If you have a resource, a project, or a business that genuinely serves the brotherhood — share it, but only after you have contributed to the community first. Earn the right to recommend.

V. Stay on Mission

The Order exists for the formation of men through Wisdom, Courage, and Faith. This is not a political debate forum. This is not a culture-war outpost. Political and cultural topics may be discussed when they intersect with the mission, but partisan bickering and outrage-for-its-own-sake will be removed. We are building men, not winning arguments.

VI. Protect the Brotherhood

When a brother shares something personal — a struggle, a failure, a confession — that is sacred ground. What is shared in accountability stays in accountability. Do not screenshot, share, or reference another man’s vulnerable disclosures outside this community. Betraying a brother’s trust is among the most serious offenses in the Order.

VII. Respect the Moderators

Moderators are brothers who serve the community by keeping it clean. Their decisions are final. If you disagree with a moderation action, you may appeal privately via moderators@orderoftheforge.org. Public arguments about moderation decisions will be removed.

VIII. Consequences

We are not interested in punishment for its own sake. But the brotherhood must be protected.

Certain violations — pornography, doxxing, threats, harassment — result in immediate permanent removal without warning.

IX. How to Report

If you see content that violates these guidelines, use the flag button on any post. For urgent matters or private concerns, email moderators@orderoftheforge.org.

These guidelines may be updated as the community grows. The spirit remains constant: this is a brotherhood, and we will protect it.
